My Characters - "Adventure Time" style

Ok so what I did here was, after watching some adventure time I really liked their style, so I did some character sketches for some friends and tried to push them creatively. So here are some of my first adventure time styled characters that I created.

Another mural, she wanted a dragon for her baby boy because he was born in the year of the dragon.

The idea I got for this was what would deep sea mer people look like? I thought they would have pale colors with dark creepy eyes and I thought it would be neat to have the angler fish coming out of her hair hehe :) I suppose they are friends with those scary critters ...

Woo hoo! This one took me a while and I think I'm pretty happy with it. I wasn't sure what to do with the background, but this is what I ended up with. Critiques welcome! Hoping to learn more :)

Drowning

Did this for a little art competition about death. It's not really my kind of thing, but it's good practice to draw different things I suppose. Don't worry, we will say she is rescued in the end haha :) I attempted to do reflections from the water on her face. Don't know if I succeeded...
